Furthering its commitment to fostering education, career progression and leadership for women, Bond University has forged a strong partnership with the Alliance of Girls’ Schools Australasia.
A not-for-profit organisation representing 142 member schools across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines and South Africa, The Alliance aims to promote the education of girls in single-sex schools and provide leadership opportunities for students and educators.
Bond’s Pathways and Partnerships team works closely with The Alliance to achieve those goals by:
- Hosting The Alliance’s annual Student Leadership Conference – a five-day residential experience for girls embarking on leadership roles in member schools;
- Hosting the 2013 Alliance Leadership Development Conference for educators and administrators from The Alliance’s member schools;
- Sourcing inspirational guest speakers for Alliance meetings and events;
- Organising a five-day visit to the Lockhart River Indigenous community for Alliance school principals, including opportunities for them to meet with local elders, leaders, educators, families and children.
