Bond continues run of success in student experience rankings

Bond University offers a superior undergraduate student experience to every major Australian university, according to new Federal Government data released today.

Bond scored 89% for Overall Educational Experience in the combined 2017-18 Student Experience Survey, outranking all Group of Eight universities.

Only the theological University of Divinity (91%) and the University of Notre Dame Australia (90%) were ranked more highly by undergraduate students.

Vice Chancellor and President, Professor Tim Brailsford said the results were testament to the private, independent University’s academic model and its absolute student-focus.

“What makes us different from other Universities is our small class sizes and personalised approach which ensures our students and their educational experience remain at the heart of everything we do,” Professor Brailsford said.

“When you combine this with world-class academics, practical learning opportunities, links to industry and graduate outcomes, its unsurprising we are able to out-perform the major universities when it comes to student experience.”

The results come as Bond University prepares to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its founding in 1989.

The Student Experience Survey (SES) is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training. It is the only comprehensive survey of current higher education students in Australia, with around 194,000 undergraduate students and 89,000 postgraduate coursework students from Australian universities and non-university higher education institutions (NUHEIs) participating in the 2018 survey.
