Professional biography
Sarah Long is the Director, Learning and Teaching at Bond University. She leads learning and teaching oversight and quality assurance, academic development and strategic educational initiatives. Sarah has lectured in Education and Professional studies, held senior leadership positions in secondary schooling and prior to taking up her current role at Bond, worked as a senior consultant for a global education management company. She has been the recipient of several national teaching excellence awards, was made a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators in 2009 and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Sarah holds a PhD in critical discourse analysis of student constructions of success and failure in learning.Â
