The Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education is a part-time program and is designed for the wide range of educators involved in the teaching, mentoring and supervision of medical and health science students in the hospital, community and university settings. 

At the end of the Graduate Diploma program, graduates will be able to:

  1. Apply their knowledge and use advanced problem solving skills in planning, implementing and assessing student centred learning

  2. Demonstrate capacity to use advanced leadership and management skills within a health professional setting

  3. Evaluate complex ideas and concepts at an abstract level

  4. Demonstrate knowledge of research principles and methods applicable to health education.

Bond University’s Clinical Education program is intended to equip novice clinical and non-clinical teachers with the theoretical and practical skills to become effective educators.

Teaching methodology

The teaching methodology in the clinical education program involves a combination of on-line delivery and face to face workshops.

Please note: This program is currently only open to Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, holders of an Australian Humanitarian visa and New Zealand citizens (but not New Zealand permanent residents).

Academic requirements

The minimum entry requirements for this program are an appropriate Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Medicine, other relevant health science program, in Australian or New Zealand or equivalent.

Credit for prior study

Subject credits may be awarded for previous studies. To apply for credits, you will need to submit academic transcripts including detailed subject outlines/course descriptions for each relevant subject and/or certified copies of testamurs to the Office of Future Students. Please refer to how to apply for credit for more information
