The Bond TESOL Difference

Our Master of TESOL programs offer something different. Hear from our TESOL students, graduates & academics as to what they believe makes our program unique

A key benefit of studying A Master of Arts (TESOL) at Bond is the fully accredited ELICOS language centre located right on campus, Bond University College. Under the supervision, tutelage and mentorship of our highly qualified and internationally experienced teachers, our TESOL students find it beneficial to undertake the practical component of their course on campus, at Bond University College.

The Bond TESOL difference means that students will receive a personalised learning experience, in small class sizes, working with like-minded individuals from all over the world, who bring a truly international flavour to the classroom. The friendships formed often lead to industry contacts and introductions overseas. Our graduates tell us that this combination of practical experience, international perspective and contacts put them way ahead of the competition when it comes to applying for teaching positions.

What our students say

“Bond was an easy choice for me as it was local and had the subject I wanted to study. It was flexible with fulltime/ part time options and I was able to fit lesson times in to my busy world. My experience at Bond has been completely positive. The facilities for study have been great as some are accessible 24/7 which has suited me and the times I am able to study into the night! I’m never alone in the MLC so I’m sure this is something that many students appreciate, not having to leave when I have a ‘roll on’!  I’ve met lots of amazing people both students and professors at Bond, I’ve heard lots of incredible stories and feel like bond has reopened my eyes and my world. My study at Bond has without doubt woken up my brain that may have been a little dormant for a while. My lecturers have been amazing and very supportive with my situation. I work and have 3 active and sporty children to juggle and taxi around. I’ve found the online learning options incredibly beneficial.  I’ve been known to sit at the beach watching my eleven-year-old compete in Surf Lifesaving competitions and attend an online linguistics class at the same time; my notes did get a bit sandy but I managed to make it all work!

I’d absolutely recommend Bond and often do. It’s a beautiful environment, has fantastic facilities and the courses are flexible. I enjoy my studies and am happy walking under the arch onto campus for my lessons. During my time at Bond I’ve managed to get the Deans award a few times and last semester I was awarded the highest achievement award for the linguistics department, the only reason this was possible was with help and the support of the professors in my faculty."
