Dr Jaimon Kelly- 2018 Vice Chancellor’s Award for Early Career Research Excellence
Dr Kelly has recently completed his PhD studies in the Nutrition and Dietetics discipline. Dr Kelly’s research themes are telehealth, chronic kidney disease, and diet quality. Since being enrolled in a PhD program at Bond University Jaimon has authored 21 published papers, 1 book chapter and 10 published conference abstracts.
Professor Vicki Bitsika- 2018 Vice Chancellor’s Research Excellence Award
Professor Bitsika is the Director of the Centre for Autism Spectrum Disorder (CASD) at Bond University. CASD is a multidisciplinary research and education facility dedicated to assisting people on the autism spectrum as well as their families, caregivers, educators and other professionals involved in their support. Professor Bitsika has published 130 peer-reviewed papers, delivered 60 conference presentations, and conducted 40 professional training workshops base upon her research.
Professor Jeff Brand- 2018 Vice Chancellor’s Award for Research Supervision
Professor Brand has supervised 11 Higher Degree by Research Students during his time at Bond University, his excellence in supervision practice resides in taking an instrumentalist project-management approach, ensuring uninterrupted supervision availability, and exercising the full academic enterprise (research, teaching and service) as a supervisor. Professor Brand has also been instrumental in the Principal Supervision Accreditation Program and has informally mentored a small number of Faculty Colleagues.
Research centres
Bond University has established University Research Centres to enhance the University's reputation for quality research output and research training.
Our University Research Centres are interdisciplinary and will substantially enhance the University's research base, research income and profile. We also aim to build strategic relationships with other academic institutions and external partners.
Faculty Research Centres are major contributors to the Faculty Research activity. They undertake research activities including securing external research funding, producing quality research outputs and HDR supervision.
