Each year, outstanding Year 12 students from across Australia are awarded prestigious Vice Chancellor's Elite Scholarships.

These students are selected on the basis of exceptional academic achievement, proven leadership ability and personal character. They have been identified by their teachers and peers for their commitment to their community and their willingness to help and inspire others.

The Vice Chancellors Elite Scholarship is available to Year 12 school leavers beginning their study at Bond University in the following year, January semester. Chosen recipients will not be permitted to defer their scholarship to commence in a later semester.

  • Available to domestic students completing Year 12 at an Australian secondary school.
  • To be considered, applicants must be predicted to achieve a minimum of ATAR 95.00 or IB Diploma 38.
  • Demonstrated record of leadership. initiative and service to their School and/or Community. 

All Vice Chancellor's Elite Scholars are expected to maintain the level of academic and personal excellence that distinguished them as applicants.

100% tuition for any single or approved combined* undergraduate degree (excluding the Bond Medical Program).

Every Vice Chancellor’s Elite Scholar is also invited to participate in the Vice Chancellor’s Mentoring Program. The Mentoring Program connects each scholar with an influential corporate mentor, and is intended to cultivate industry links, networks and business acumen for our Vice-Chancellor’s Elite scholars. Our mentors are all highly regarded senior executives, who have forged their own successful careers in the corporate world, and generously work alongside each Vice Chancellor’s Elite scholar for their first year of study, to help prepare them for a phenomenal career beyond university.

How to Apply

Applications for this scholarship are now open and close on 1 August 2022.

Upon completion of the Bond University Study Application Form, eligible students can apply for scholarships via the Bond University Scholarship Application Form. Simply use the same log-in details as used for your study application and enter 'scholarship' in the keyword field on the Start an Application tab. 

We encourage students to apply for as many scholarships as they are eligible for. Students will only be considered for the scholarships they have applied for.

Students must complete and submit their scholarship application prior to the application closing date. No late scholarship applications will be considered. If you are applying for more than one scholarship with different application closing dates, it is important to submit your scholarship application form by the earliest scholarship closing date.

Scholarship applicants will be required to submit the following documents as part of their scholarship application:

  • A School reference (you will be asked to provide your Career Advisors details as part of the scholarship application form and we will follow-up with them directly to provide a reference);  
  • Evidence of your leadership, initiative, and service to your school and/or community. Please use the Summary of Achievements template to present this evidence and upload as one Word or PDF document; and  
  • Essay responses to two questions, as per the below. We recommend drafting your essay responses in a Word document and then copying and pasting them into the application form. 
    1. What current issue or topic makes you want to stand up and act? Why? (200-250 words)
    2. Success comes in many forms. What is the definition of success for you? (200-250 words)

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a short video. Scholarship finalists will be invited to a VC Elite Scholarship Selection Weekend to be held from Saturday, 24 September - Sunday, 25 September, 2022.
