ARCH73-100: Integrated Design Management

Description

Students will be provided with work experience in a multidisciplinary environment where integrated design management takes place. This subject occupies the final semester in the combined Master of Architecture/Master of Project Management degree. Work experience comprises 12 weeks of full-time placement and may occur locally, interstate or overseas. Students will be required to keep a weekly diary of their work activities and prepare a 5,000 word reflective report on the role of integrated design management to deal with complexity in the design process and the need for effective team collaboration, illustrated with authentic case studies drawn from their placement experiences. This subject serves as a capstone activity unique to the combined program.
