Bond University’s Occupational Therapy (OT) discipline is looking for qualified and experienced candidates to teach to our Postgraduate OT programs. We are seeking a variety of clinical expertise across the full scope of occupational therapy practice.
Our OT Discipline offers students an innovative Master of Occupational Therapy and a newly established Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy. Both programs are accredited by the Occupational Therapy Council of Australia and the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) in the United States and approved by the World Federation of Occupational Therapy.
Casual Academics are casual teaching focused positions and include all aspects of subject delivery including clinical supervision; preparing high quality subject and learning support materials; conducting face to face teaching; being available for consultation with students; designing and marking assessments; finalising grades; and undertaking administrative duties related to teaching and learning. These casual positions are known within the faculty as Practical Demonstrators or Clinical Educators.
Further they are available on an ‘as- needed’ basis to meet academic teaching requirements for the Occupational Therapy discipline.
About the person
We are looking for candidates to have the following:
- A master’s degree or higher qualification in a relevant field such as Occupational Therapy
- Full registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA
- Substantial experience in Occupational Therapy i.e. Clinical background/experience in clinical OT practice.
- A commitment to high quality teaching and learning.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, including an ability to engage effectively with students.
- Skills in digital technologies and information systems
- Availability to teach on campus and/or Clinical practice supervision
Salary details
Applicants will be remunerated in accordance with the Bond University Casual Academic pay scales. Please note, that hours for these roles are casual in nature and may vary depending on the operational requirements of the faculty.
