We are seeking to fill four positions across Associate and Assistant Professor levels to contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of our Master of Occupational Therapy and newly established Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy programs. Our programs are accredited by the Occupational Therapy Council of Australia and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) and have recently achieved full 7-year accreditation by ACOTE in the United States, reflecting our commitment to excellence in OT education and international recognition.

These positions are pivotal in contributing to the Master of Occupational Therapy and Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy programs. You’ll be involved in supervising the clinical and/or industry research activities of occupational therapy students, teaching across the breadth of Occupational Therapy with emphasis dependent on area of specialty.  We also offer opportunities for developing research interests aligned with those within the Occupational Therapy team and broader Faculty.  

Duties and responsibilities will vary according to the level of appointment with positions of increasing seniority taking progressively more responsibility and leadership in research and scholarship, teaching, academic administration, clinical supervision and community engagement across the discipline.  At the Associate Professor level, you’ll be expected to play a key role in driving research growth within the discipline, making a meaningful contribution to both the faculty and the wider University community.
 

About the person

We’re looking for passionate and driven Occupational Therapists who are registered (or eligible for registration) in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Ideal candidates will hold a Doctoral qualification and bring a proven track record of excellence in effective teaching, learning, scholarship, or research appropriate to the level of appointment. Experience in academic administration within the higher education sector would be highly regarded. For the Associate Professor role, we’re seeking candidates who demonstrate strong leadership, management, and team-building capabilities to inspire and support both staff and students.

Salary details

The salaries for these positions will be negotiated commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.  Salary packaging options are available.  The level of appointment will be determined by the Selection Panel.

  • Associate Professor (A or B) in Occupational Therapy: Full-Time, Continuing Appointment $162,466.69 - $177,979.01 plus 17.5% superannuation per annum
  • Assistant Professor (A or B) in Occupational Therapy: Full-Time, Continuing Appointment $130,234.21 - $154,787.26 plus 17.5% superannuation per annum

These positions are based at The Bond Institute of Health and Sport, Robina, located in the Robina Health precinct. The complex has world-class teaching facilities. These include a teaching kitchen, gait lab, simulated hospital ward, activities of daily living lab and work play lab, the latest technology, and interprofessional learning spaces. Some travel between Bond University locations is required.
