 About the Position: 

Library Services are currently seeking applicants for the casual position of Library Assistant.

This position will form part of the Library Customer Services team and will be responsible for the provision of a range of frontline library services including evening and weekend rostered duties at any of the Library service points. Quality customer service is the primary focus of this position.

The positions will report to the Team Leader, Library Customer Services and will support the library services function in line with the Library Services policies and guidelines.  More information about the Bond University Library can be found at http://bond.edu.au/library  

About the person

The successful candidate/s will have customer service experience, good interpersonal and communication skills and be highly motivated. Initiative, adaptability, and responsiveness to change are also essential attributes. 

Applicants will need completion of Year 12 and/or equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, experience and training. Experience as a Library Assistant or Library Technician preferred. It is desirable if candidates can demonstrate excellent customer service in a university or library environment.

Hours of work may be rostered across the following hours:

  • Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 11.00pm
  • Friday 8.00am – 6.00pm
  • Saturday – Sunday 10.00am – 6.00pm

Availability to work for blocks of time across a range of daytime, evening and weekend hours is essential, at the Robina campus.

Salary details

The hourly rate for this casual role commences at $39.97 (includes 25% casual Loading) plus 11.5% superannuation.
