About the Position
Bond University is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Manager, Business Services to join our Student Business Services Department. This pivotal leadership position supports the Director, Student Business Services in delivering high-quality, student-centred services across timetabling, examinations, scholarships, graduation and reviews functions. The role is integral to enhancing the student experience through strategic development, policy management, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include managing and supporting teams to ensure seamless administrative services. Working collaboratively with departments across the University, the role ensures the highest standard of service for our students. Additionally, it oversees essential University functions, including timetabling, examinations, graduation processes, and the efficient management of scholarships.
Engaging with stakeholders across the institution, the Senior Manager builds relationships to meet student needs. This role demands strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to significantly impact the institution’s student services and contribute to student success and wellbeing.
About the person
The ideal applicant will have:
- A degree, preferably at master’s level, or extensive experience in student administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performance teams, fostering a positive, inclusive and service-focused culture.
- Experience in developing and implementing operational plans, policies, and procedures to enhance student-focused services. Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and adapt to changing environments.
- Proven ability to build and sustain a customer-focused culture, effectively manage competing priorities, and engage with senior stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
- Proficiency with Student Management Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and a comprehensive understanding of relevant higher education legislation (HESA, ESOS, National Code, CRICOS).
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of analysing complex issues and implementing strategic, effective solutions.
Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $126,878.94 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
