Bond receives top marks in Good Universities Guide 2021

Bond University is No.1 in Australia for student experience for a 15th consecutive year following the release of an independent ranking of Australian universities.

The ratings were released on Monday, August 17 by The Good Universities Guide just as the latest cohort of "Bondies" wrapped up a week of graduation ceremonies at the Robina campus.

In the Educational Experience category, the private, not-for-profit university received five-star ratings in all six sub-categories at undergraduate and post-graduate level -- the only university in Australia to achieve the feat.

At the undergraduate level, Bond University was judged best in Australia in three categories: student support, learning resources and learner engagement.

In the remaining three categories -- including overall experience – Bond was No.2 in Australia and best in Queensland.

The university climbed the rankings at postgraduate level to lead the nation in skills development and student support.

The university’s unique model offering personalised degrees came out on top with Bond's student-to-teacher ratio of 10:1 the best in Australia.

Vice Chancellor and President Professor Tim Brailsford said he was delighted with the results.

“Our students are at the heart of everything we do in providing a world-class, transformational student experience so it’s always gratifying to see this constantly reflected in ratings and rankings,” Professor Brailsford said.

“This great news comes on the back of a big week where the university held five graduation ceremonies under a COVID-safe plan.

"Over 300 students attended with guests over four days and while social distancing ruled out handshakes, there was very much a sense of celebration in recognising the significance of our students’ achievements.”
