Bull Sharks circling Premiership

Bond University are into the AFLW Grand Final.

The Bull Sharks lost only three games all season on their charge to the minor premiership.

A disappointing three-point loss to Coorparoo before the finals couldn’t have come at a better time according to ruck Kate Reynolds.

“I think it was really good for us, we haven’t had to fight much this year,” said Reynolds.

“We probably should have beaten them but we made a few mistakes in the last few minutes in the last quarter which cost us.

“It was only the third time we’ve lost all season and especially going into finals and how hectic the pressure will be, we definitely needed that.

“We are hurting after the loss to Coorparoo, and that is great coming into finals, because we don’t want to lose again. We know we have to prove ourselves.”

The Bull Sharks bounced back to beat Yeronga 68-12 in the major semi-final

“We are proud of the minor premiership, but the job isn’t done,” said Reynolds.

Bond University’s women’s development squad also won the minor premiership and are into the Grand Final

Bond will face the winner of Coorparoo and Yeronga in the QAWFL grand final on August 25.
