Research interests

Loai is an NHMRC Emerging Leader Fellow and Assistant Professor at the Institute. His research expertise includes evidence-informed decision-making, effective non-drug interventions, and overdiagnosis and overuse of healthcare services in limited resources settings. He is a medical practitioner (MD) from Palestine, completed an MSc in clinical epidemiology at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and a PhD in evidence-based practice at Bond University.
