Professional biography
Research interests
My career has spanned both industry and academia. Prior to lecturing at Bond University, I worked for the IBM Corporation USA as an Information Developer in the Kingston, New York laboratory, as a Systems Engineer in New York City marketing, and as a sub-headquarters staff member in internal public relations. I also taught Communication at Southern Connecticut State University, KVB College of Visual Communication in Sydney, and Sydney Institute of Technology, Randwick.
I am interested in visual communication and representation generally, and have conducted research on the development of information graphics, effective road signage, illness blogs, media reports of the 2016 Great Barrier Reef bleaching event, and, most recently, feminist film.
