Research governance and compliance
As a comparatively small university, Bond has forged a niche community of world-renowned academics, expert practitioners and HDR students focused on targeted research in specialist fields where we can achieve maximum impact.
This community and its outcomes is guided by a framework of governance policies, procedures and practices that ensure all research is conducted ethically, adheres to legal and regulatory requirements and follows best practice in research integrity.
Research strategy and reports
The Bond University Research Strategic Plan articulates five strategic research objectives and strategies to guide research at the University over the next 5 years.
Research ethics
This is a resource for researchers providing straightforward guidance about their obligations as researchers; what resources are available to assist them in undertaking excellent research; and the process of obtaining research ethics approval from BUHREC.
Research integrity
Research integrity involves upholding ethical standards in all aspects of academic work, including learning, teaching and research for all Bond University staff and students. It involves acting with the principles of honesty, fairness, trust, and responsibility and requires respect for knowledge and its development.
Research compliance
Human research compliance is a comprehensive framework that encompasses adherence to rules, regulations, policies, and standards of conduct governing research. Discover how Bond supports researchers in navigating intricate areas such as Defence Export Controls (DEC), foreign interference, and research integrity.
Research governance
At Bond University, research governance is provided by a range of committees to oversee research functions of academics, higher degree research students and external collaborators and partners.
Research Quality Assurance
Late in 2023, the university conducted a research quality assurance exercise to determine the effectiveness of its research plans, and to measure the extent to which research meets the world standard threshold in the fields of education in which we teach.
