The Bull Sharks took on Coorparoo and Robina Roos over the weekend, landing a win for both the men's and women's sides.
Our teams held fast in their style of play, taking the contest to their opponents with consistency and determination.
The men's side successfully dodging powerlines, but producing electric plays on the Robina home oval.

Where was it won:
Given the style of play Robina historically bring at their home ground we had to come with a very strong defensive mindset. From the outset the team had this game style in mind and gained the ascendancy very quickly. For most of the game we were four to five goals in front and never really looked back.
The highlight:
The highlight was the team approach where we have been focusing on building a game style that we believe matches the best in the competition. Many individuals are running into great form at the right time of the season which gives us great confidence with finals time just around the corner.
What made you happy:
The future of our club, the young chargers, Hunter Booth, Tom Ferguson, Sam Bowen, Hamish Furphy and Flynn Ayton. These guys are continuing to grow and develop into very good players.
Bull Sharks Football:
Our game style and the way we want to play continues to trend upwards and has been reflective in the results over the past month. Coach Hart has praised the group and feels we have plenty of growth in us yet, this gives the entire club significant confidence leading to September.
The work to do:
There are points in the game where we take our foot off the pedal and let the opposing side score quickly, we cannot afford to be doing this against the better teams. This has been a focus over the past three weeks, we cannot let the opposition have easy scores.
 Trademark player:
Matt Smith was probably our best on the weekend. He played in a variety of positions and as the skipper certainly led by example.

Where it was won:
It was won in our contest, we had strong stoppage and clearance work throughout the game. Mia Sailsbury’s ability to win the ball was superb and Havana Harris dominated in the midfield. Courtney Sexton had good possession of inside and outside ball.
The highlight:
This round we wanted to implement our game plan of getting the ball into open spaces and pushing the opposition to run. We did this effectively and this led to the win.
What made you happy:
We were challenged physically by Coorparoo, and we stood up strongly. We maintained composure and focus on the ball.
Bull Sharks AFL:
Our recent games have seen a really good balance of inside-outside football. We excelled in our overlap. Our run and carry and link up through middle of the ground gave us really high-quality entries into forward 50, something we are looking to continue throughout the rest of the season.
The work to do:
Our consistency and our discipline and being able to be predictable to each other with our ball use. We are showing signs of being predictable and consistent to each other which is our weekly work on.
Trademark player:
Defender, Jasmine Davidson is in excellent form, she's in the best form of her career. She trained with Brisbane Lions last year but didn’t get reselected, she's on the radar of a few AFLW clubs.
