Major Sem-Final

Bond v Souths

Last time they met:

Round 17 at The Canal.

Bull Sharks lost 45-43.

On reflection:

It was a game of two halves, where we dominated the first half and used the wind to our advantage. In the second half we gave away too much possession which cost us the win.

The opposition:

Souths have some big strong forwards up front, but they are what I would call an all-round team with their spread of talent across the park. We will have to match them physically and more to take this win away from them.

Shuffling the magnets:

Consistency can be important in finals, and we’re pleased that we don’t expect to see any changes from last week.

Ones to watch:

Our boys up front are always a sight to see, Harry Bell Oliver Barrett and Nikotimo Mateiwai. They will be look for a bit of redemption for the last game, particularly in our scrum.

The focus:

Our focus is on getting to the Grand Final. We will need to attack Souths from all areas and be accurate with our offensive manoeuvring in order to achieve this goal.

The final word:

The boys have done so well to come this far, and we have the group to get the job done.

With Rico Gear.
