An incredible season for Colts 1 has ended in heartbreak with a one-point loss to Souths costing them a spot in this weekend’s Grand Final.
The Bull Sharks were in front with moments to play before a late penalty gave the Magpies win.
The news was better for Third Grade who advanced to the Grand Final with a victory over Wests.

Bull Sharks lost 18-17.
Where was it lost:
We weren’t as accurate as we have been and were sloppy in key moments which saw us giving up possession. We endured a very hard end when the referee made a call on us at which gave Souths the penalty to win the game.
The highlight:
We kept fighting and did really well to score with 5 minutes left on the clock. The boys worked hard for the win but in the end, it wasn’t quite enough.
What made you happy:
That we had to defend a lot in the first half. We had a yellow card and a heavy penalty count against us and to go into the break only 5 points down after some big defensive efforts was pleasing.
Bull Shark Football:
We scored a great set piece try and made a great break out wide with our backs linking up reflecting the style of game we like to play.
The work to do:
We need to learn to understand what the referee is looking for and have the ability to adjust what we’re doing, particularly around the break down. We seemed to get done for not rolling out of the tackle during the game so that will be a next season work on.
Trademark Player:
Rocco Gollings was strong for us in full back and up front Oliver Barret had some big runs and scored a great try.
With Rico Gear.
