Description
Terrorism is recognised as an irregular form of global conflict and a central concern of national and international politics. Terrorism affects all the complex elements of international relations, including trade, economics, information transfers, culture and religion. Understanding terrorism requires an interdisciplinary approach, and this subject equips you with the theoretical frameworks to analyse the motivations and transnational nature of this phenomenon. The subject also provides you with an overview of the strategies deployed by states and institutions to combat this lethal form of political activism.

- Identify, analyse, evaluate and communicate broad and coherent theoretical and technical knowledge in the study of Terrorism.
