Description

Diplomacy: Theory and Practice provides you with a rigorous understanding of conceptual and practical issues relating to modern diplomacy. You will learn about diplomacy and get to practice diplomacy, via a range of innovative, authentic and diverse negotiation exercises. The aims of this subject are twofold and unique: to allow you to put theory into practice and to encourage you to think and act like diplomats.

Learning outcomes

  1. Identify, analyse, evaluate and communicate broad and coherent theoretical and technical knowledge in the study of Diplomacy.
  2. Independently and in teams, generate and transmit solutions to unpredictable and sometimes complex problems related to Diplomacy.
  3. Apply diplomatic knowledge and skills to professional work and/or further learning, demonstrating well-developed judgement and responsibility.
