LAWS77-587: Commercial Law for Enterprises

Description

Commercial Law for Enterprises is a compulsory subject in the Master of Laws in Enterprise Governance offered by the Faculty of Law. This subject will examine the laws regulating sales and supply chains, complex contracts, consumer protection and competition as they apply to enterprises, the role of the ACCC and other relevant regulators, and the consequences of non-compliance.

Learning outcomes

  1. Analyse and critique the rules regulating sale of goods, delivery of services and supply chains as they apply to enterprises.
  2. Evaluate and interpret commercial contracts, including joint ventures and capital projects, utilising legal reasoning and analytical skills to identify potential risks and opportunities for enterprises.
  3. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of consumer protection and competition laws, evaluating, and effectively communicating the implications of non-compliance for enterprise governance.
