Living off campus
Explore everything our city has to offer
Where some students choose to live in on-campus accommodation, others want to immerse themselves in Gold Coast life and find a home off campus.
Whether you plan on staying for the duration of your studies or want to relocate to our beautiful part of Australia, there’s so much to be discovered when living off campus.
Maybe you’ll find your own apartment or studio closer to the beach, or rent with some new friends in Varsity Lakes or Robina. There are also homestay options that will make the transition easier, especially for our new international Bondies – the possibilities are endless!
Let’s explore…

All about our area
The Gold Coast is friendly, vibrant and bustling with activity, whether you’re at the beach or in the heart of the city. At Bond, we’re lucky enough to be nestled between two residential suburbs that rate highly across the board – Robina and Varsity Lakes. You’ll find a range of affordable property options and experience a short commute to both Bond University and local shops, parks, public transport and amenities.
Students who choose to live off campus still have unimpeded access to Bond, with bus routes that stop right outside our door, and free, 24-hour parking on campus.

About Varsity Lakes
Varsity Lakes is a small city centre in and of itself, and is where you’ll find a range of purpose-built student apartments, as well as townhouses and homes suitable for shared and private rentals. You’ll be within walking distance of both Bond University and Market Square, where you’ll find restaurants, cafes, a small shopping centre, a post office and more handy facilities right on your doorstep.

About Robina

As one of the Gold Coast’s major shopping complexes, Robina Town Centre features a multiplex cinema, large department stores, supermarkets, variety stores, all the major retail chains and a full suite of medical and service providers.
Of course, there are so many other suburbs to be discovered on the Gold Coast, from Coomera, Pimpama and Helensvale in the north, to central and trendy Burleigh Heads and Broadbeach, and all the way south to Palm Beach, Tugun and Currumbin. As you settle into the Gold Coast, you will come to learn more about these areas and determine the right place for you to live.
