Arrival guide for international students

Welcome to your new life at Bond University

Your time in Australia will be one of the most memorable, fulfilling and rewarding times of your life.  In the coming months and years, you will experience a different culture, a different lifestyle and the fun of meeting new people from all over Australia and the world.

The first few days and weeks may be a little more challenging than you expect as you settle into your new surroundings and find your way around. This guide has been prepared to make this process a little easier for you. Based on the experience of other international students, it includes all the important things that you need to know and may help you anticipate some of the many questions you may have. If you cannot find the answers in the following pages, please visit the Student Business Centre where one of our friendly staff will be happy to help you.

The most important thing to remember is that you are not alone. Many students at Bond University have come from overseas so they know exactly how you are feeling – or are feeling the exact same way right now. Reaching out to others will make your own journey much easier so make a special effort to attend as many social events as you can during Orientation Week in order to make friends in your new home.
