Faculty Business Director
Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine
Full-time, fixed-term appointment for 5 years
Based on the Gold Coast, Queensland 

About the Position:   
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Bond team in the role of Faculty Business Director for the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine. The faculty is renowned for the excellence of its education and research in medical, health and sports sciences. 

As a member of the Faculty’s Executive Committee, this key leadership role will provide strategic advice and operational support to the Executive Dean, Deputy Dean, Dean of Medicine, Associate Deans and Heads of Programs to enhance and facilitate the achievement of the Faculty’s objectives. This will include strategic planning and analysis, financial management, business development, marketing, and other projects across both the academic and operational areas. This role has a number of direct reports including General Manager positions in Academic Support Services and Education Services and Partnerships, and is responsible for leading professional staff input into Faculty-based domestic and international marketing and recruitment, learning and teaching, student affairs and service quality, research, finance and faculty administration teams. 

About the person

The successful candidate will possess a postgraduate tertiary qualification along with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of tertiary qualifications and relevant experience in a senior leadership role within the healthcare or university sector.  

This position will require exceptional leadership skills to ensure success in engaging and managing a team effectively to preserve and enhance the existing positive staff culture. It requires a tactical thinker to develop and execute strategic plans, lead initiatives to enhance the overall operational and financial effectiveness of the faculty, and identify opportunities for innovation and collaboration with industry including healthcare facilities and hospitals, research institutions and universities. 

In addition, candidates of this calibre will be required to demonstrate a collaborative and partnership approach with both internal and external stakeholders.  They will possess excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills along with the proven ability to foster a positive and productive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.

Salary details

Remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience. Competitive salary packaging arrangements are available.
