Outcomes

Actuary

Actuaries are well-rewarded for their analytical and problem-solving skills in a growing number of industries. A newly qualified fellow can expect to earn around $125,000 per year and incomes rise quickly while senior actuaries can easily earn over $300,000 a year. No longer restricted to the finance and insurance industries, opportunities for actuaries are emerging in diverse areas such as health, education, energy and environment, public infrastructure, and genetics.

Business Analyst

The projected job growth over the next five years for business analysts is 29.6% making the profession in high demand across various industries. The skill set you gain from an actuarial science degree may also prepare you for a career as a business analyst, where your work will typically involve examining the operations, structure and policies of an organisation and recommending solutions to enable them to achieve their goals.

Data Scientist

A data scientist is responsible for designing and implementing data-based collection and models, creating algorithms and predictive outcomes. Their role encompasses developing tools, automation systems and data frameworks to both frame and solve complex problems.
