Bond’s Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management (3-year program) will prepare you for professional and managerial roles in the global tourism and hotel industries. You will develop the knowledge and skills required by managers in modern hospitality and tourism businesses with special emphasis on hotel, tourism and event operations, sustainable tourism, tourism industry analysis, revenue management and human resource management.

About this program

Designed for students who wish to study via a two-semester model, this three-year program means you will study during the January and May semesters of each year only and will complete the degree over three years rather than the usual two.

The Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management (3 Year Program) will prepare you for professional and managerial roles in the global tourism and hotel industries. You will develop the knowledge and skills required by managers in modern hospitality and tourism businesses with special emphasis on; hotel, tourism and event operations, sustainable tourism, tourism industry analysis, revenue management and human resource management. Emphasis is placed on practical and experiential learning through field trips, work experience, internships, and real-life case studies. Students will undertake an Industry Experience Placement or an Employment activity as part of the Beyond Bond program.

What you'll be studying

  • Year 1

    In your first year of study, your introduction to our Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism program will include the completion of your essential introductory and intermediate level subjects. These include Bond University core subjects which ensures every student develops skills in critical thinking, collaboration, leadership, and integrity, in addition to six required subjects for this program which include Sustainable Tourism and Indigenous Culture, Tourism Analysis and Evaluation, and Marketing.

If you love travelling and working with people like I do, this degree will equip you with the key skills for the tourism and management space. After completing an internship at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort through my studies, I was offered a part time role. With my experience I will gain through this role, I hope to end up in management within the tourism and hotel industry.
