Diploma of Legal Studies

Where will your degree take you?

Measured by revenue, the 2021 market size the legal services industry is AU$23 billion strong and expected to increase, according to IBIS World. This positive outlook is great news for those looking to progress into the legal sector.

To become admitted as a legal practitioner in all Australian jurisdictions, following successful completion of the Diploma of Legal Studies, you will need to complete a Bachelor of Law’s program in conjunction with a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) or a traineeship. Note, a Bachelor of Laws degree may also be used to apply for admission internationally. We advise students to confirm admission requirements in the particular jurisdiction in which they wish to practise.

Bond’s laws and GDLP programs prepares graduates to pursue careers in the public or private sector which could lead to a range of roles such as solicitors, barristers, government lawyers, in-house counsel, judge's associates, academics, or business leaders.
