Graduates of this program may find employment opportunities in the government, community, private and not-for-profit sectors including government, sport, tourism and recreation services, sport venue management, sport advertising, media relations, sponsorship, and marketing.

Outcomes

Sport event manager

Sport event managers are responsible for the planning and execution of local and major sport events. Other types of duties include, liaising with marketing professionals for the design of event collateral, managing event personnel, collaborating with sport coaches and teams, and negotiating price points with event contractors.

Sport marketer

Sport marketers are responsible for promoting sport teams, players, and events by creating effective advertising and building brand association. Responsibilities may include securing sponsorships for sporting teams and events, advertising, and promotion of sporting events, building relationships with sporting organisations, as well as plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns.

Sport manager

Sport managers are responsible for the promotion and coordination of sport activities as well as overseeing the participation, travel and logistics of players and coaches and other special groups in sport. They can work for sport governing bodies, professional sport organisations, and any number of other sport-related organisations.
