Bond’s Master of Building Surveying equips you with the advanced knowledge as well as professional and technical skill sets to become a specialist in areas such as building legislation, technical codes, and construction standards, opening up opportunities for senior roles with major construction and development companies or for self-employment as a consultant surveyor.

The Faculty of Society and Design

About this program

The Master of Building Surveying offers students the chance to increase their knowledge in the field of building surveying. Students will study with world-class academics and experienced practitioners. The program comprises two specialist subjects plus six shared core subjects. Completion of a further four postgraduate elective subjects will allow you to graduate with a Master of Building Surveying.

What you'll be studying

  • Semester 1

    Consisting of a three-subject per semester workload, your study experience starts with an introduction to the core foundations of building structure, materials, building controls and regulations, plus one general elective chosen from the list of available postgraduate subjects.

    You will be based in Bond’s state-of-the-art Built Environment Precinct which includes the first building in Australia to be awarded a 6-State Green Star – Education PILOT Certified Rating for design by the Green Building Council of Australia.

    Working in small groups, you’ll connect with academics, industry practitioners and future employers who know exactly what is expected in today’s workplace. You’ll also meet industry representatives through networking events hosted by the Faculty and the Bond Built Environment Student Association.

  • Work anywhere

    Bond’s Master of Building Surveying is accredited nationally and internationally, allowing you to practise as an accredited building surveyor and certifier anywhere in Australia or around the world.
