In most countries around the world, the standard bachelor’s degree takes four years to complete – but here at Bond, we offer the exact same educational experience in just two years. Our accelerated, three-semester-per-year timetable doesn’t affect the content you learn – it simply means you will finish your degree ahead of your peers at other universities with shorter breaks in between each semester. The same goes for our master’s programs, which take between 12 months and two years to complete.

As a Canadian student coming to Australia for university, there are several ways to finance your degree. We are a recognised institution in the Canada Student Loans Program, so you may be eligible to receive an interest-free loan depending on your study load and citizenship. Other options include bank loans and lines of credit.
In Canada, the federal and provincial governments jointly administer financial assistance through the Canada Student Loans Program. Bond University is a recognised institution within this program, and so, you may be eligible to receive an interest-free loan. You will need to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and be enrolled in at least 60% of a full-time study load in a degree, diploma or certificate program.
How to apply
To get approved for a student loan, follow these steps:
Apply online via the approved loan provider in your province (listed below), providing any requested documents.
If your application is successful, you will receive a Certificate of Eligibility (COE). Depending on the province you apply in, you may also receive a Program Information Form and/or a Confirmation of Enrolment Form, which you can email to financialaid@bond.edu.au for processing.
Funds will be paid to you via cheque or EFT once your COE has been processed.
Students from Ontario will need to submit a scanned OSAP Program Information form via email to the Bond Financial Aid office at financialaid@bond.edu.au.
When applying in Alberta, please provide our Financial Aid office with your loan approval letter and Confirmation of Registration worksheet via email at financialaid@bond.edu.au.
Many major Canadian banks offer limited lines of credits for students to cover their tuition fees. This option generally would cover a portion of the cost of attending university as an international student. Some of Canada’s major banks have specific loans designed for students, which can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Banks with these types of schemes include the Bank of Montreal, CIBC, RBC Royal Bank, Scotiabank, and TD Canada Trust.
If you are claiming educational expenses from your Canadian taxes, you will need to submit a TL11A (Tuition, Education and Textbook Amounts Certificate – University Outside Canada) form. This will be emailed to your Bond email address in week 14 of each semester you are enrolled.

Applying for a scholarship to study at Bond is simple – after you have submitted your initial application using our free, easy online portal, you will then have the option to select and apply for relevant scholarships and bursaries.
