Description

This subject invites you to delve into the rich tapestry of Australian cultural traditions and explore the social and historical developments in Australia and the rest of the world. By examining the connections between visual art, film, and literature, you will gain understanding of Australia, its people, and its vibrant cultural fabric. You will encounter a rich diversity of literature, from the nineteenth century bush poetry of A.B. “Banjo” Paterson, to the more mature and highly experimental works of Australia's great twentieth century writers.

Learning outcomes
