About IELTS
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an approved English language test recognised by Bond University.
IELTS is a popular test used by universities worldwide and assesses your ability to listen, read, write and speak English well enough for employers to hire you, and universities to grant you entry into your course.
You can satisfy the English language requirements for your preferred Bond program by achieving at least the minimum IELTS score.
Bond University accepts IELTS Academic and IELTS Online. IELTS General Training is not accepted. Bond University also accepts IELTS One Skill Retake (OSR).
IELTS One Skill Retake allows test takers to retake one of the four test components in either reading, writing, speaking or listening (once only). You must book a IELTS One Skill Retake 60 days between your original test and your IELTS One Skill Retake.
There are some programs where IELTS One Skill Retake cannot be used, including:
Sending your IELTS results to Bond
When you book your test, you can request to send IELTS results to up to five organisations free of charge, so please ensure to select Bond University at this stage.

Your IELTS results
Approved English language test results must be no more than 24 months old when you commence your program at Bond.
Minimum required scores
The minimum test score you will need to meet depends on the program you are applying for. Some programs require higher levels of English proficiency than others. Please ensure you review the below list to find the IELTS score needed for your program. This will also be listed on your program page, which can be found using our program finder.
