Your time studying at Bond will be some of the best days of your life, but it’s important to be prepared for the unexpected.
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is insurance that assists international students meet the costs of any medical, hospital and emergency ambulance care that might be needed while in Australia. OSHC will also pay limited benefits for pharmaceutical services.
It is a mandatory part of securing a valid student visa and studying at Bond. All international students must maintain adequate health insurance for the duration of their visa, for both themselves and any family members covered under a student visa dependent visa, such as spouses and dependent children under 18 years old. Bond University can assist with arranging health cover for you. Our provider, Bupa, is on campus each Wednesday between 11am - 2pm to assist student with claims.

Bond University's preferred OSHC provider is Bupa, a leading global health and care company operating in more than 190 countries. In Australia, Bupa is one of the two largest private health insurers.

- No waiting periods for psychiatric (normally 2 months) and gynaecological services (normally 12 months) when you pay through Bond University. Not applicable for pre-existing conditions.
