Right now you can study in one of Australia's fastest growing cities

Australia's Gold Coast – it's one of the best places in the world to live and one of the best places in the world to study.

With pristine golden beaches on one side and World Heritage rainforests on the other, Bond University is just 10 minutes from the surf and less than an hour from Brisbane. In 2015, Bond was rated the #1 university in the World's Best Beachside Universities by Study International.

The Gold Coast lifestyle is whatever you want it to be: We have a vibrant cultural scene with live theatre, art exhibitions and plenty of music venues; or you can hit the surf, join a local sporting team and get active in a hundred different ways. There are nightclubs, theme parks, great shopping centres, multiplex cinemas, wineries and a different restaurant for every night of the year.

No surprise then that the Gold Coast is one of Australia’s premier tourist destinations – so you can expect lots of visits from friends and family while you study here!

Where to live

Bond has a range of on-campus accommodation options for students to really make the most of your Bond experience. Or if you prefer to live off campus in a rental or share property, one of our Bondies might be able to help you out.

Gold Coast culture

Gold Coast locals generally are known for their laid-back and relaxed approach to life. We’re mad about sport and coffee – and there’s plenty of both. The city hosts a string of major national and international sporting events each year and we’re all buzzed about the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games being here in 2018. You’ll find restaurants and cafes serving authentic cuisine from almost any country you can think of, as well as community organisations, houses of worship and festivals representing all the different nationalities that have made their home here.

Local eateries

What you may not know about the Gold Coast is that the locals consider themselves foodies. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a snack - they're always up to try something new. Get a taste of the Gold Coast - check out some of our local hang-outs that tickle the taste buds.
