When you first come to Bond, as well as joining a network of students, you are also joining the wider Gold Coast community. Once a small coastal town, we have grown to great heights over the last few decades, so there has never been a better time to call our little slice of the world home.
The Gold Coast community is made up of over 720,000 people from a diverse array of backgrounds. As one of the country’s most sought-after places to live, we’re expanding every year, but our community remains close-knit and connected.
Our local area
Just a short walk from Bond’s campus is the Varsity Lakes metropolitan area, which includes local businesses, food outlets and other services. Whether you’re on the hunt for a great place to eat, a place to pick up some groceries, a friendly community organisation to join or a place to hang out with new friends, you’re bound to find it (probably within walking distance, too!).
Want to venture further from home? The Gold Coast is a playground for all sorts, with so much to explore. From the hinterland to the beach and everything in between, we have 70km of coastline to discover – and that’s just the beginning.
