Accessible facilities and services

Bond University Library is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible environment for all students, staff, and visitors. Our facilities are designed to accommodate diverse needs, striving for equal access to our resources and services for everyone.

Our library team provides support with alternative formats of information resources, and an assistive technology room is available in the Main Library.

In addition to the services and facilities described here, further assistance to meet individual needs can be provided by arrangement.

Assistive technology room

Located on Level 2 of the Main Library, this room includes:

  • Height-adjustable desk
  • Dragon Naturally Speaking software installed on PC
  • Write Gold software installed on PC

Contact the Accessibility& Inclusion Advisor for authorisation to make bookings via the self-service room booking system.

Extended bookings may be provided by arrangement between the accessibility and inclusion advisor and the Library to meet particular needs.

Information resources

The accessibility and inclusion advisor may refer you to the Library team to provide assistance and support with resource enquiries.

The team will work with you to understand your request and obtain the resources you need in the format required.

Wheelchair access

  • Automatic doors at building entrances (valid student or staff ID card for swipe entry and a door release button to exit).
  • Automatic door into the physical collection on Level 3 of the Main Library.
  • Lift access to all levels of the Main Library.
  • Lift access to Level 3 of the Law Library from the Law Faculty lift.
  • Two height-adjustable PC workstations on Level 2 of the Main Library.

Hidden Disabilities Network

Bond University Library is proud to support the Hidden Disabilities Network. We believe in creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone, including those with diverse and chronic disabilities that are not immediately apparent. We aim to provide resources, and ensure that all visitors feel comfortable and supported. 

We wear our supporter sunflower lanyards, and keep a look out for your pins or lanyards.

Getting support

Help with library facilities and services

For help with library facilities and information resources in alternative formats, contact your faculty librarian, or submit a support request.

Ask us now

We welcome feedback on your accessibility experience with Library services, online and on campus.

Make an appointment with your faculty librarian, email us, submit feedback online, alternatively, students may raise issues with the Bond University Student Association (BUSA). The Library Management team meets liaises  with the BUSA Committee.
