- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of health science across a number of disciplines including systems anatomy, physiology, chemistry and cell biology.
- Integrate concepts of molecular, cellular, tissue, organ and whole organism function and relate these to health and disease.
- Demonstrate skills in basic laboratory methods including the handling of chemicals and reagents, preparation of solutions, light microscopy, and the recording of physiological measurements.
- Locate, retrieve, interpret, critically evaluate and reflect on scientific and health information from a variety of sources.
- Plan, synthesise, summarise and disseminate scientific information in a variety of formats including electronic (websites, blogs, slide presentations), oral and written.
- Prepare an accurate experimental report using the correct journal style format and with clear & concise scientific style

Credit will be awarded for all eight diploma subjects, meaning that you will transition into the third semester of your chosen bachelor’s degree (with the exception of Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science which awards credits for six diploma subjects).
