Our centre

Following the 2015 launch of Queenslandโ€™s first fully accredited actuarial science degrees, Bond Business School has emerged as an international think tank in big data and its application in areas such as actuarial science, economics and data analytics.

Under the leadership of Professor Sekar Rajaguru, the Centre for Data Analytics was established as a global research hub, engaging with government, private enterprise and not-for-profit organisations to ensure that the practical application of big data is optimised by the very latest research. 

Our mission

The mission of the Centre for Data Analytics is to establish Bond University as a leading research hub in data analytics, through:

  1. Outreach and research collaboration
  2. Expansion of the quality and quantity of research output, and through
  3. The development of training and technology aimed at strengthening our current research programs and engagement with industry.

A message from our Director

  • The establishment of a University Centre in Centre for Data Analytics has positioned Bond University as a significant player in the big data and analytics research space.

    Members of the centre have specific big data analytics interests in finance, machine learning, risk management, health analytics, sports analytics, energy, and climate change, amongst others. They have a genuine desire to collaborate and contribute their complimentary skills on a range of innovative data analytics projects.
