Financing your semester abroad

Your study abroad experience is one you will never forget, and will likely be four of the best months of your life – even more so if you budget correctly prior to travelling to Australia. Where managing a restrictive budget could add unnecessary stress to the study abroad experience, a well-considered budget is the key to a fun, worry-free, and immersive time at Bond University.

Depending on the program and subjects you undertake during your time at Bond University, there will be a few associated fees and costs to consider, including tuition, living costs, insurance, and accommodation.

Tuition and health insurance costs

Students commencing at Bond under our Study Abroad Program will be required to pay their tuition fees to the University prior to the beginning of the semester.

However, if you are coming to Bond as part of a recognised partnership with your home institution via our international exchange program, you will continue to pay fees to your university or college at home and will not be required to pay tuition fees to Bond. Please note there will still be fees associated with study, including Overseas Student Health Cover and living costs.

* Fees are current for fee-paying Study Abroad Program students studying for one semester. Tuition fees are subject to change.

** Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is compulsory for students travelling to Australia on student visas. OSHC will cover five months of study abroad, with additional cover available up to two months before arrival. Students must advise the Study Abroad and Exchange Office if additional cover is required. The cost of OSHC is subject to change.
