Transformation CoLab

Transforming minds in a brave new world

To succeed in the future of work, graduates need to be highly knowledgeable in their chosen field and to possess a range of transferable skills and attributes.

The Transformation CoLab delivers the Bond Core Curriculum, the Beyond Bond professional development program and the suite of Transformation degrees. Students engage with these programs as they build the professional and adaptive skillsets necessary to be successful in their future lives and work.

Bond Core Curriculum

At Bond, students are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to ensuring that our graduates have the ability to create and sustain meaningful work, both as graduates and across their career lifespan.

At the centre of this commitment is the University’s Core Curriculum. Embedded in our undergraduate programs, the Core subjects engage students in Bond’s three graduate attributes to ensure that our students are capable individuals, effective collaborators and global citizens.

Transformation degrees

Our six innovative degrees and majors rethink the structure of a traditional degree. Disciplinary siloes are a thing of the past, and industry and community mentors are front and centre of the student experience.

Beyond Bond program

Beyond Bond is a personalised and degree-wide professional development program that prepares students for the transition from study to career. The program engages students in academic, professional and extra-curricular activities, and culminates in a professional portfolio.

Beyond Bond empowers students to create and curate the evidence with which to demonstrate their graduate employability, which we define as the ability to create and sustain work and learning across the career lifespan and in multiple contexts.

Through the program, students achieve milestones that align with the University’s graduate attributes and with the professional standards of their chosen discipline, gaining valuable employability skills and experience along the way.

The anatomy of a Bondy

  •

As capable individuals, Bond graduates are self-aware and self-directed individuals who exhibit initiative and persistence in pursuit of their goals.

Critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills are essential for success in higher education studies and across the career lifespan. In Critical Thinking and Communication, students learn how to evaluate arguments, identify assumptions, judge patterns of inference and recognise and apply various methods of reasoning.

  •

Being an effective collaborator is essential to personal and professional life. Contributing effectively as an individual, team player or a leader in diverse social contexts requires both intrapersonal and interpersonal skills.

In Collaboration, Teams and Leadership, students gain a greater understanding of their personality, values, emotions, perceptions and related attributes, and develop an appreciation of the diversity of these characteristics in others.

  •

Integrity, and the courage and capability to act on one’s sense of responsibility, are key components of a thriving life. Responsibility, Integrity and Civic Discourse fosters a lifelong commitment to responsible discourse and action in all spheres of human interaction, recognising the global aspect to contemporary citizenship.
