This course encourages participants to identify and overcome the primary barriers to effective global citizenship found in epistemological, political, and historical modes of thinking. Students will also explore how an absence in institutions and civil society of robust concepts of global citizenship can institute dehumanising social and political practices. Through investigating such practices, participants will explore how a notion of global citizenship can inform critical thinking on issues such as climate change, international justice, and human rights. 

Leading with AI equips students with the understanding, and critical capacities necessary to lead with confidence in a world shaped by AI. Students will explore foundation models, bots, and agents, and develop advanced prompt engineering skills through hands-on projects and creative exploration. More than just a technical overview, the subject empowers students to build their own AI toolkits and reflect on how AI can augment their personal agency, creativity, and decision-making.

This subject will explore experiential and spatial exploitations of form, light and material with a particular focus on architectural atmospheres.  Fundamental skills in the application of design thinking and process, narrative, critical thinking, observation and analysis will be developed. 

This subject covers the history of world architecture and urbanism from the early days of humans as builders until most recent architectural phenomena today.

This subject provides a thorough grounding in accounting with an emphasis on financial reporting and no prior knowledge of accounting is required. It covers the basic financial statements used in financial reporting, the accounting cycles, some contentious reporting issues, reporting analysis and the interpretation of financial statements. 

This subject is an introduction to programming. There is a focus on writing computer code to solve problems in business, which promotes the development of problem-solving skills. The necessary foundation concepts are covered, including expressions, variables, data structures, control structures, functions, commenting and debugging.

This subject provides students with the chance to bring their quantitative maths skills up to a standard that is required for future business subjects at Bond University. It also provides new material that is essential to the understanding of business-related problems. 

This subject is designed to teach students how to manage the relationship between businesses and their customers. It covers the nature of customers, marketing tools and the broader environment within which the marketer operates. 

This introductory subject will equip students with the tools of economics and how these are applied in real-life situations. Participants will gain an understanding of how to address economic problems in their own lives as well as in industry, politics, society, and the wider environment.

Designed to foster the development of foundational mathematical and statistical skills necessary for subsequent quantitative subjects in the Bond Business School. This includes applications of calculus, probability, discrete and continuous random variables, sampling distributions, hypothesis testing, and application of the central limit theorem to large sample inference and data analytics. 

In this subject, you will learn essential and foundational creative and technical skills necessary for successful careers in the creative and communications industries. You will learn the theoretical and practical fundamentals of visual, textual, and audio design and narrative across multiple digital and online platforms. Across the semester, you will build a portfolio of creative communication pieces. 

Graphic Design and Content Creation provides students with an introduction to visual communication principles and graphic design elements such as colour, type, line, shape and form as foundations for understanding the aesthetic, functional and social applications of design. Students will apply these principles practically, using industry standard digital creation tools including, Adobe Creative Suite.

This subject introduces you to advertising as a professional practice. You will learn about the different roles in advertising agencies and the skills required for working in these positions. Through exploring successful advertising campaigns and practical, hands-on exercises, this subject will provide you with an overview of essential ideas, concepts and theories used by practitioners for creating impactful promotional communication across various media channels.

This subject provides basic knowledge and skills required to manage a project or to be an effective member of a project team. It covers the nine functions of project management (cost, time, quality, scope, risk, communication, human resource, procurement and integration) as defined by the Australian Institute of Project Management, tracking a project through its various lifecycles from inception through to completion by the use of a case study.

This subject introduces students to the principles, theory and practice of sustainable development and its role in our society. It provides an insight into the key underpinning fundamentals of ecology, natural environment and the built environment before illustrating how they can be put into practice in areas such as the environment, cities and urban development, construction, architecture, property and urban planning.

Understanding how the planet works has never been more crucial in tertiary education. A practical understanding of this and its impact on humanity is vital. This knowledge is essential across all career structures to combat climate change. Understanding climate change is now as important as understanding the economy, the legal system, and our national and international societies, as it will affect all these areas in the future. This subject introduces you to climate change through Earth and Global Systems, climate mechanisms, ocean and atmospheric interactions, and future world changes.

This subject provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental concepts and theoretical approaches in International Relations, forming the essential foundation for studies in the field. This course gives you a robust framework for analysing contemporary international affairs. You will explore critical theoretical foundations that will, in turn, enable you to investigate and critically analyse issues in international relations, including war and peace, state and nationalism, sovereignty and intervention, non-state actors, and human security.

Languages provides you with an insight into a fascinating world of human languages. The innovative subject prepares you for the challenges of language learning and gives you the opportunity to ‘taste’ languages which you can study at Bond University. The subject explores how languages are interconnected with communities and their cultures, why we all sound different and how languages we speak condition our world view. You will also learn why learning languages can be difficult and why the advantages of you learning an additional language are monumental. 

Contemporary Issues in Law and Society is an undergraduate elective subject offered by the Faculty of Law. This subject is not a technical law subject. It explores some of the social and contemporary controversies which surround law. The goal is to create cross-disciplinary debate on how to solve contemporary problems such as: the role of law as a social system; the impact of science in an era of human cloning and designer babies; freedom of expression, media regulation and hate speech; government regulation of social media; criminal sanctions and punishment; and gender issues. 

This subject is an introductory level examination of the law regulating enterprises in Australia today. Students will develop a foundational understanding of the Australian legal system and the laws associated with starting, financing, managing, and closing an enterprise. They will also cultivate the skills and knowledge to recognise and respond appropriately to legal problems, including those involving causing harm, making and enforcing deals, dealing with consumers and competitors, and protecting IP.
