Indigenous Student Success Program
The Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP) commenced on 1 January 2017 providing supplementary funding to universities to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students access higher education and succeed.
Through ISSP funding Bond University provides personalised support services to help our Indigenous students succeed. Services provided include the Indigenous Tutoring program, to apply for tutorial assistance please see below.
The aim of the Indigenous Tutor Scheme is to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to participate equitably in your chosen field of study. Our tutoring program takes a holistic approach and our tutors are trained to assist with all of your academic needs and with the transition into Bond University. The program is free for eligible students.
The Bond University Indigenous Education and Workforce Strategy has been drafted by the Bond University Indigenous Consultative Committee which is a Standing Committee of Academic Senate providing oversight and strategic direction of all Indigenous programs and initiatives within Bond University.

The Bond University Indigenous Consultative Committee (ICC) has responsibility for the development and oversight of the Bond’s Indigenous Education Strategy and Indigenous Workplace Strategy.
It also provides recommendations and endorsement for the University’s Indigenous strategy, RAP process and the allocation of resources for dedicated Indigenous programs, including the University Indigenous Scholarship Program and the Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP) Grants.
The ICC is chaired by our Provost, the most senior Indigenous staff member at Bond, and its membership includes a Community Elder, our Elder in Residence, six Bond University Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander professional and academic staff, two Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student representatives, and four non-Indigenous staff members.
